The History of Our Bakery

The Pennsylvania Bakery was founded in 1986 by Ken & Michelle Schenk. It has been owned and operated in the 1713 Market Street, Camp Hill location for 25 years. In 1997, the bakery underwent an expansion that more than doubled the size of the baking and retail operation. Ken is from a long line of bakers that goes back more than 69 years, when Ken's grandparents immigrated from Germany. He also learned much of his knowledge from his grandfather & father in the Germantown section of Philadelphia along with his training at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN.

At the Pennsylvania Bakery we strive to offer as much quality and variety as possible to satisfy even the choosiest appetite. We provide a full line bakery, using only the finest ingredients. All our products are made from scratch and on the premises.
